General Information

The Transitional Care Unit at Sharon Regional is a 38-bed transitional care facility licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and certified to provide skilled Medicare services.

The Unit functions as a transition center for patients just finishing the acute phase of a hospital stay who still need a level of skilled care to complete their recovery. Their average length of stay is less than 20 days with most remaining in our care for one to two weeks.

Following their stay on our Unit, patients will return home, or to an alternative care setting appropriate to their needs, such as long-term care, assisted living, or a rehabilitation center.

The Unit accepts patients without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, handicap, or religious creed.
