Sharon Regional Health System’s Hubbard Diagnostic and Specialty Center, is a $1.7 million satellite medical center occupying 11,500 square feet in the former Nemenz/IGA food store at 880 West Liberty Street in Hubbard.
The Hubbard facility includes many services (see box, right), among them a specialized heart center, which is a satellite of Sharon Regional’s Heart and Vascular Institute, and offers cardiac stress tests, cardiac echocardiography, and general office cardiology through Sharon Cardiology Specialists, Sharon Regional’s cardiology group.
Board certified cardiologists who see patients at the new center include J. Ronald Mikolich, M.D., FACC, MRI/Cardiology; Nicola Nicoloff, M.D., FACC, Cardiology; Michael Burley, M.D., FACC, Interventional Cardiology; and Brandon Mikolich, M.D., FACC, Interventional Cardiology.
The new Center also serves as a satellite for Sharon Regional Sports Medicine Services and offers appointments with sports medicine specialists Keith Lustig, M.D., and Ernest Swanson, M.D., plus a large sports medicine therapy and rehabilitation center. Brian Shannon, M.D., spine surgeon and joint replacement specialist, also sees patients at the center.
General surgeons seeing patients at the new facility include Gene Marcelli, M.D., Craig McKinney, M.D., and Ravi Alapati, M.D., who specializes in SILS (single incision laparoscopic surgery). Gastroenterologist Raja Chadalavada, M.D., also sees patients here.
As an additional service to the community, staff from the Hubbard Diagnostic and Specialty Center and Sharon Regional also offers a number of community health education programs and screenings for area residents.
