Advanced emergency medicine

There are times when good enough will do. A medical emergency isn't one of those times. At that moment, you need every available opportunity to optimize your outcome.

Now, patients with trauma, chest pain, strokes and other serious illnesses can be treated at the expanded Emergency Care Center at Sharon Regional Health System.

Sharon Regional identified as heart attack treatment center by regional EMS council

This ultramodern center has more than doubled in size and offers highly specialized areas for the treatment of virtually every type of emergency situation. Special areas include trauma rooms, chest pain rooms (Mercer County's only facility for advanced heart attack care), an isolation room and a hazardous materials decontamination room.

There also are specialized treatment rooms for orthopedic patients and women with gynecological problems. Equipped with the latest high-tech equipment, chest pain/stroke centers, the Emergency Care Center brings together a team of emergency professionals.

Those who suffer from a variety of behavioral health problems can also be evaluated in the Emergency Care Center and linked to a vast array of services that aid in management of their problems.

The programs mentioned here along with other Emergency Care Center services have one common goal: To help patients choosing Sharon Regional to have the greatest opportunity to optimize their outcome.

When you or a member of your family need emergency care, don't trust that care to a simple hospital emergency room. You owe it to yourself and your family to experience how emergency care should be delivered.
